I really I want to appreciate God for keeping me alive up to this moment. This day some 25years ago, a boy was born in my family, and was named Sheriff Olalekan Aremu Shittu to serve his world. I have had my bit of success likewise failures and disappointment. Days like this give me opportunity to look back and appreciate God and at the same time, chart a course for the future.

Usually, I take time to plan for the future while also questioning my existence and the value I have added to the human race. This year is different as it’s a significant year; 25…some call it Silver Jubilee, but I want to call it a platinum Jubilee because it’s really a defining moment for one to chart a course on how he wants to end up his life and also to be able to make tangible assessment of how he’s spent is conscious years.

For me, I gained my consciousness (or personal discovery as the case may be)as a person when I was 15. I did make some decisions on what really I want to go for in life and chose what I considered good for my life. I had dreams, hope and aspiration of where I want to see myself today. Yea, like you may expect, I have not realized 100% what I’d dreamed of but having a dream 10years did shaped the decisions I took.

Today, am looking into the future and talking to God, to hold me strong, to give me courage to finish His assignment for me. If there is any significant thing I have discovered in my short span in life, it’s God’s favour and wisdom, if they are present in ones life, everything work like magic. I trust that God will give me the guidance to finish the race gladly.

I do appreciate everyone who have contributed to who I am today and those, who have continued to implore me to inspire change. I thank God for bringing you into my life! To my parents, Mr. And Mrs. Shittu for believing in me even though I was young when I took some serious decisions that shaped my life today. To my fiancée, Veronica for believing so much in my dream that you joined me in the race when I was a young man roaming on this street with just an idea of possibility without any evident of greatness, you are a jewel to behold!

I thank God, I thank you and I promise to become a better person and add value to my country and the world at large.
